An easy Strawberry Banana Smoothie that has only three ingredients and takes less than five minutes to make? This dairy-free smoothie is kid-friendly, vegan and gluten-free! Whee!
Although I look forward to strawberry season every year, please be assured this is an all year smoothie!
Having fond memories of picking fresh strawberries, I find strawberries make the most delicious smoothie reminiscent of my favorite milkshakes. But with much healthier clean ingredients and valuable sought-after antioxidants.
Looking for a strawberry smoothie without yogurt, this smoothie was created.
I pondered the ingredients that would be needed to create the ultimate creaminess. That would also satisfy even the pickiest person? Oh yes!
Making Your Strawberry Banana Smoothie:
Step 1 – Gather and measure the ingredients. (see tips & substitutions below)
I usually purchase a big bag of organic frozen strawberries at the grocery store for ease in making smoothies. Plus, they tend to be more cost-effective.
Slice the banana into about one-inch pieces.
Step 2- Add all the ingredients to a blender.
Step 3 – Blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. This should take about one minute depending on your blender.
Step 4 – Pour into a glass and enjoy. This smoothie yields two cups, which is one larger smoothie for one serving or two smaller smoothies for two servings.

Vegan Strawberry Banana Smoothie Tips and Substitutions:

- Add a few ice cubes if the smoothie is too thin.
- Add more liquid (dairy-free milk or water) if the smoothie is too thick.
- Do not add sugar – the smoothie is sweet enough.
- This strawberry smoothie can be stored in the refrigerator for later (but best used within the same day).
- Boost your smoothie by adding some hemp seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds, some greens (spinach) or extra berries.

This looks so tasty! I would definitely take your advice on freezing the banana ahead of time– it’d make it extra milkshakey but keep the healthfulness of a smoothie 🙂
