The BEST Strawberry Banana Smoothie!

An easy Strawberry Banana Smoothie that has only three ingredients and takes less than five minutes to make?  This dairy-free and vegan smoothie are kid-friendly and gluten-free!  Whee!

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup strawberries (I used organic frozen strawberries)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or your favorite milk)

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for a few minutes until the mixture becomes smooth, creamy and your desired consistency.

  2. Pour smoothie into a glass and enjoy!

  3. Smoothie can be prepared ahead and stored in the refrigerator for later.

Recipe Notes

  1. Make sure one fruit is frozen.   So if you have fresh strawberries, then use frozen banana or vice versa. This will yield a more milkshake type creaminess.
  2. Add a few ice cubes if the smoothie is too thin.
  3. Add more liquid (dairy-free milk or water) if the smoothie is too thick.
  4. Do not add sugar - the smoothie is sweet enough.
  5. This strawberry smoothie can be stored in the refrigerator for later (but best used within the same day).
  6. Boost your smoothie by adding some hemp seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds, some greens (spinach) or extra berries.
