A healthier vegan granola recipe that is naturally sweetened with maple syrup and chock full of delicious ingredients! This oil-free granola is crunchy, salty and sweet but also grain-free, gluten-free, dairy-free and Paleo! Combined with fresh fruit, it is a favorite breakfast option.
How To Make Oil-Free Vegan Granola:
Step 1: Gather the ingredients.
Step 2: Add all the ingredients to a medium-sized mixing bowl.
Step 3: Stir all the ingredients until well combined. This will take a few minutes until all the ingredients are well coated with the maple syrup.
How Do You Make Homemade Granola Crunchy?
After you spread the granola mixture on the baking pan, create empty spaces on the pan (see photo below) and make sure there are thicker bunches to create clusters. And, luckily, this vegan granola recipe naturally forms crunchy clusters as it bakes!
Step 5: Spread the granola mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 6: Bake the granola in a 300 degree F oven for 20 minutes. Take out of the oven and let cool.

Step 7: Once cool, use a spatula or your hands to break up the granola into pieces, keeping some in larger clusters (if desired).
Step 8: Store in an air-tight container for up to several weeks.
Baking Tips For This Vegan Granola Recipe:
- To save time, use sliced almonds, cashew pieces, pecan pieces. Bonus: they are usually cheaper in the grocery store.
- Make sure to keep temperature 300 F (no higher). Slowly cooking the granola is the key to success.
- Using parchment paper means the granola won’t stick to the pan and you’ll have an easy clean-up.
- After baking and cooled, add your favorite dried fruits, chocolate chips, seeds for variety.
Enjoy this Vegan Granola:
- Over dairy-free vegan yogurt.
- As a cereal with fresh fruit and non-dairy milk.
- As a topping for vegan ice cream.
- As a snack.
