Creamy, smooth Pineapple Dole Whip just like the one served at Disney World! With only three ingredients, you’ll love this delicious naturally gluten-free treat! Plus, a dairy-free option!
Made with real ingredients, what could be better on a hot summer day?
What is Dole Whip?
- Also known as Dole Soft Serve, it’s a creamy dairy-free frozen pineapple treat created by the Dole Company. While pineapple is the most known flavor, there are other popular fruit flavors as well.
- Recently Disney released the recipe, so now you can make Dole Whip at home!
How to make Dole Whip:
Step 1: Gather and measure the ingredients.
Step 2: Blend: Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. I love using a high-speed blender for this, but a regular blender will work. See the photo below.
Step 3: Pour into a serving dish and enjoy! If you want it to look like the photo, use a star tip and icing or pastry bag (or resealable plastic bag) to pipe and create swirls. You can also use a resealable plastic bag, cut the tip off, and create swirls that way as well.
Recipe tips:
- If the Dole Whip seems too soft after you make it, you can freeze it all in an ice cube tray for several hours. Then reblend.
- Use frozen pineapple chunks from the grocery store or you can use fresh pineapple that you cut yourself and freeze.
- For dairy-free, use dairy-free ice cream.
- Use a high-speed blender like a Vitamix. If you don’t use a high-speed blender, add a bit more pineapple juice for ease in blending.
- You can also use an ice cream maker to churn this delicious treat!
- Add a few tablespoons of sugar if you want it sweeter.
- Disney lists the recipe as using one scoop of ice cream. We used 1/2 cup ice cream as an equivalent measure.
- Place leftovers in the freezer in a freezable container. When ready for another Dole Whip treat, remove and blend again!
