Ingredients for Wassail:
- Cranberry Grape Juice
- Apple Juice
- Orange Juice
- Brown Sugar, optional
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Star Anise
- Ground Cloves
- Ground Allspice
- Bourbon or Dark Rum
How to make wassail:
- Gather and measure the ingredients.
- Add all the ingredients except for the alcohol to a large slow cooker and heat on high for one hour.
- Turn heat to low, add alcohol if you choose, and simmer for another 4-8 hours or until ready to serve and drink.
- Strain the spices and then garnish individual servings with sliced apples, orange slices, whole cranberries cinnamon sticks, and/or star anise

- Garnish with cinnamon sticks, star anise, cranberries, and/or fruit peels.
- This recipe can be made non-alcoholic, just omit the alcohol from the recipe.
- Test it and for a stronger drink, add more alcohol.

- 2 quarts cranberry grape juice
- 2 1/2 cups apple juice
- 1 1/4 cups orange juice
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar, optional (may sub brown sugar)
- 3 Cinnamon sticks (to fit into serving glasses use 3-inch cinnamon stick)
- 4 Star anise
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 3/4 cup dark rum or bourbon
