Recipe Tips:

  • The longer the sangria is refrigerated the fruitier it becomes. Infuse for at least three hours.

  • You could add a bit of sugar or honey if more sweetener is needed.
  • Cover the sangria while it is being refrigerated.
  • Double the recipe if serving a large group.
  • Stick to a 1:1 ratio of champagne to wine.
  • Swap out fruit - use berries, sliced peaches, sliced kiwi, or other fruit that may be in season.
  • Add ice to individual serving glasses and not the pitcher of sangria because it will water down the sangria.

Can you mix champagne with wine?

  • Yes, and it can add some zip to the wine if you like the taste.
