Easy four-ingredient chia pudding that is creamy smooth, dairy-free and no refined sugar.  Five minutes prep is all it takes!

A delicious and simple breakfast or healthy snack!

Chia pudding is one of my favorite healthy make-ahead breakfast or snack ideas.  Plus, it tastes like dessert to me and will keep me away from the more decadent stuff!

It’s easy to jazz up with toppings! Try chopped nuts, coconut flakes, mini-chocolate chips, berries, sliced banana, raisins, etc…

How To Make Vanilla Chia Seed Pudding:

Step 1 – Gather and measure the ingredients.

    • Chia seeds (I used white but you could also use black chia seeds which are generally less expensive).
    • Dairy-free milk of choice
    • Maple syrup or honey
    • Vanilla extract

Step 2 – Add all the ingredients to a blender.

Note:  You could just add the ingredients to a jar and stir, but I like the chia seeds grounded in the blender for a smooth and creamy pudding.

Step 3 – Blend for a few minutes until ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth.

Step 4 – Pour the blended chia pudding into glass jars or dishes and store them in the refrigerator until ready to consume.  The pudding will last a few days stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

How do you thicken chia seed pudding?

    • This chia seed pudding should thicken in the refrigerator, but should you could always add a bit more chia seeds and re-blend.

    Should chia seeds be refrigerated?

    • I store my flax and chia seeds in the refrigerator to keep fresh and keep from going rancid quickly.

    1. Do I need to blend the chia seeds to make chia pudding?  No, you can combine the ingredients in a glass jar and stir well to create a pudding.
    2. Is the texture different if I do not blend the chia seeds?  Yes, it is different, but still very good!  It’s not as smooth.
    3. Where can I buy chia seeds?  I buy chia seeds either on-line or in the grocery store.  If you can’t find them easily, ask the store personnel for assistance.
