  • 9 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (I use a 9-ounce bag, dairy-free).
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup nut butter (almond butter, cashew butter or sub sunflower seed butter for nut-free).

  1. Prepare a 9 x 5 loaf pan baking dish by lining with parchment paper or plastic wrap.

  2. Add the nut butter, maple syrup, coconut oil, and vanilla extract to a medium-sized mixing bowl. Stir well to combine..

  3. In a heat-proof bowl, melt the chocolate chips. Do this via the microwave in 40-second intervals or use the double boil method.

  4. Pour the melted chocolate into the bowl with the nut butter mixture and stir well to combine.

  5. Pour the mixture into prepared 4 x 8 pan, smooth out the top and make sure mixture is even thickness.

  6. Optional: Sprinkle chopped nuts, sprinkles, chopped nuts like walnuts, and/or chocolate chips over the top of the fudge. You may want to press these in slightly with your hands to make sure they stick to the fudge.

  7. Place in freezer for at least an hour, preferably three, or until completely hard and solid.
  8. Take the fudge out of the plan by removing the plastic wrap with fudge on it.
  9. Using a knife, slice fudge into serving size pieces. Store in freezer.

Recipe Notes

Recipe tips:

  • It is very easy to make but should be kept cold so it does not melt.
  • I have found the best place to store this chocolate vegan fudge in the freezer.
  • The chopped nuts and chocolate chips sprinkled on top are optional but so awesome!
  • For the holidays, add crushed peppermint candies to the top (right after you pour into loaf pan).
  • Sprinkle the top with nuts such as chopped walnuts
  • Add chocolate chips to the chocolate mixture.

  • To make nut-free, use sunflower butter to replace the nut butter.
  • Substitute another nut butter for the almond butter.
  • To make keto or sugar-free, substitute sugar free chocolate chips and sugar free substitute.
