How to make easy homemade dairy-free hot chocolate

Creamy and delicious dairy-free hot chocolate is just minutes away!  Top with some dairy-free whipped cream!

  • 2 1/2 cups Almond milk
  • 3 tablespoons organic raw cacao powder
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Pinch salt (fine sea salt or salt of choice)


  1. Place all of the ingredients in a  medium-sized saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk for several minutes, until heated through and mixed together.

  2. Turn off heat and serve in mugs.

Recipe Notes

Optional add-ins:  pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla.

Some garnish ideas: cacao nibs, cinnamon stick, shaved chocolate, dairy-free whipped cream.
