Ingredients

  • One bunch Lacinto Kale preferably organic
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • teaspoon Optional: 1/2 cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
  2. Prepare a baking pan with a wire rack.

  3. Remove kale leaves from stems. Wash and dry the kale leaves thoroughly. Preferably use a salad spinner to dry kale leaves. Additionally, use paper towels to dry kale leaves as well. Remove as much moisture as possible.

  4. Break up Kale in a few pieces and place in a medium-size bowl with olive oil and salt. Toss the kale so all leaves are coated.

  5. Place kale leaves on the rack of the baking pan in a single row (none on top of each other).

  6. Bake for 1 hour and remove the kale chips that are done. If any need longer, bake for 10 minutes, check, until all are done.

  7. Store in an air tight container.
