Recipe Notes

Recipe tips:

  • If the dole whip seems too soft, you can freeze in an ice cube tray for several hours.  Then reblend.
  • Use frozen pineapple chunks from the grocery store or you can use fresh pineapple that you cut yourself and froze.
  • For dairy-free, use dairy-free ice cream.
  • Use a high-speed blender like a Vitamix.  If you don't use a high-speed blender, add a bit more pineapple juice for ease in blending.
  • You can use an ice cream maker to churn this delicious treat!
  • Add a few tablespoons of sugar if you want it sweeter.
  • Disney lists the recipe as using one scoop of ice cream.  We used 1/2 cup ice cream.
  • Place leftovers in the freezer. When ready for another Dole Whip, remove and blend again!
